The Municipal League of Metro St. Louis will be hosting our annual Installation Dinner & Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 28th at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel. At this banquet dinner, we ceremonially install new executive board members and present awards recognizing notable city officials and legislators.
|
|
|
Attendance is $50 each for municipal officials and $75 each for affiliate members, and includes a cocktail reception and dinner. Certain affiliate members already have tickets included with their membership. We highly encourage municipalities to purchase a table for 10.

Ryan McClure, Executive Director of Gateway Arch Park Foundation will discuss topics like expansion of the national park into Illinois, redevelopment of the Millennium Hotel Site, and potential interstate relocation.

Nathan Hoenig was recently hired as the Municipal League's part-time administrative assistant. He has a Bachelor's of Public Policy Administration from UMSL and is currenlty pursuing his Master's Degree in Public Administratom at the University of Kansas. He also works part-time for the City of Wentzville in the city administrator's office.

Safe Streets & Roads for All (SS4A)
Grant Deadline Approaching

The US Department of Transportation has released the FY 2026 Notice of Funding Opportunities for the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program, which provides funding for two main types of grants:
- Planning & Demonstration Grants - used to develop, complete, or supplement an Action Plan, as well as carry out demonstration activities that inform an Action Plan
- Implementation Grants - used to implement strategies or projects that are consistent with an existing Action Plan and may also bundle funding requests for supplemental planning and demonstration activities that inform the Action Plan
The application deadline is May 26 at 4pm.

Department of Public Safety
State & Local Cybersecurity Grants
|
|
|
Applications for the US Dept. of Homeland Security & FEMA's State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program closes May 20th. These grants support state and local efforts to combat cybsecurity threats and mitigate risks that endanger these vital functions.
Applications should address the following eight priorities established by the State of Missouri:
- Implement multi-factor authentication
- Implement enhanced logging
- Data encryption
- End use of unsupported/end of life software & hardware
- Prohbiit use of known/fixed/default passwords and credentials
- Ensure the ability to reconstitute systems (backups)
- Actively engage in bidirectional sharing between entities to drie down cyber risk
- Migration to the .gov internet domain
