The intensive training courses are designed as two-day classroom-style “boot-camps” that focus on the role of public and elected officials in economic development, resiliency and economic recovery. The interactive courses will provide participants with concrete, practical tools to support critical economic development and disaster resilience activities within their communities. The course content is designed for leaders in small towns and communities without economic development officials and/or any local leader interested in learning more about the economic development and disaster resilience. Course content will be developed by IEDC in partnership with the DRA and EDA, and in coordination with local economic development organizations and other partners.
